Jannat at Feet of Mothers

Shortened Question:
Does Jannat lies at the feet of all mothers?
Question:
Does Jannat lies at the feet of every mother or is there a criterion?

A lot of children of mature age follow what their parents say and do, even if it means to hurt another, deceive another or even to get houses on interest bearing mortgage. Is this a form of idol worshipping to put your mother before what Allah says?

Dua please to attain good health for me and my children from Quran and Ahadith.

Answer:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Obedience to one’s parents is farz (obligatory) and an express order of Allah Ta’ala in the Quran and order of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam in many Ahadith. ,

However, the obedience to one’s parents is not absolute and without restrictions. It is not permissible to obey one’s parents while violating the laws of Shariah.

Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam says:-

Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam says, “There is no obedience to the creation in the disobedience of the Creator”.

One who has a need should perform Salatul Hajat and ask Allah Ta’ala to fulfill that need.

Salatul Hajat should be performed as follows:

1) Make wudu

2) Perform two Rakats Salat

3) Glorify Allah Ta’ala

4) Send Durood upon Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam.

5) Then make dua as follows:

Transliteration:

Lā ilāha illallāhul-halīmul-karīm, subhānallāhi rabbil-a’rshil-a’dhīm, al-hamdu lillahi rabbil-ā’lamīn, asaluka mūjibāti rahmatik, wa a’zāima maghfiratik, wal-ghanīmata min kulli birr, was-salāmata min kulli ithm, lā tada’ lī dhamban illā ghafartah, wa lā hamman illa farrajtah, wa lā hājatan hiya laka ridhan illa qadhaytahā yā arhamar-rāhimīn.
Translation:

There is no god but Allah the Clement and Wise. There is no god but Allah the High and Mighty. Glory be to Allah, Lord of the Tremendous Throne. All praise is to Allah, Lord of the worlds. I ask you (O Allah) everything that leads to your mercy, and your tremendous forgiveness, enrichment in all good, and freedom from all sin. Do not leave a sin of mine (O Allah), except that you forgive it, nor any concern except that you create for it an opening, nor any need in which there is your good pleasure except that you fulfill it, O Most Merciful!
If it is not possible to perform the two Rakats of Salat, one may Glorify Allah Ta’ala, send Durood upon Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam and then make the above dua.

You should also make the following duas:

Translation:

Our Lord grant us the coolness of our eyes from our spouses and children and make us leaders of the pious. (Surah Furqaan 25:74)

Translation:

O my Lord, Make me one who establishes Salat, and of my progeny as well. O, my Lord accept my prayers. (40)O my Lord forgive me and my parents and the believers on the Day of Reckoning. (Surah 14:40-41)
