Protections Against Evil

Shortened Question:

1-     Can treatment be sought from a Maulana against jinns?

2-     Is seeing a lot of ants in your home a sign of Barakat?

3-     Are there any specific duas or Salats to combat evil?

Question:

1-     Is it permissible in Islam, to go to a Maulana and ask him to check if there is a jinn in your home or inside of you and if there is for him to offer treatment such as water, blowing in it etc.?

2-     If one finds a lot of ants in his home, is it a sign that Barakat (Blessings from Allah) will be coming to that home soon?

3-     If an evil was done and you would like to stop it, but cannot stop it physically, are there any specific duas or Salat to be performed for this?

Answer:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Maulanas are Ulema who are trained in the Laws of Shariah to train and educate fellow Muslims. Some Moulanas are trained to remove black magic and jinns from people.

However, there are non-Ulama who are also trained to remove black magic and jinns. It is therefore imperative for you to use some criteria in assessing the trustworthiness of those from whom you are soliciting assistance. It is important to establish that they are conforming to the Quran and the Sunnah of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi wa Salam.

Fear Allah and know that nothing can happen without the permission of Allah. Allah Subhana wa Ta’ala is the cure for all malignity.

We have not heard of ants being in one’s home is a sign of Barakat.

To save yourself from evil you should recite Surah Yaseen in the mornings. After every Fard Salat recite Ayatu Kursi (Surah Bakarah 2:255). Before going to sleep at nights recite the last three Surahs of the Quran – Surah Ikhlas, Surah Falaq and Surah Naas three times each then blow on yourself. Try to recite the Quran a lot and make a lot Zikrullah.
