Can you please tell me the meaning of the name Tehreem or Tahreem? As far as I know it’s meaning is “banning” or some say it’s “pure”. Can you please suggest some baby girl’s name?

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

The word Tahreem(تحريم) means banning, forbidding.

On the other hand the word Taahirah (طاهرة) is from the root word (طهر) which means pure, chaste.

We therefore, recommend the names Taahirah which means pure, chaste, pious or Taybah which means pure, excellent, also another name for the city of Madinah, or Tay-yibah which means pure, chaste, halaal.

A few appropriate female names are:

Aaminah meaning a lady of peace and harmony. This was the name of the beloved mother of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam.

Ameenah meaning Trustworthy, honest.
